Hands-On Strawbale Design and Construction (2 days)

In this two-day hands-on workshop taught by Dan Chiras, Ph.D., author of The Natural House and The Natural Plaster Book, students will build a small straw bale structure from scratch, including the bottom plate, top plate, window and door bucks, and roof. Students will stack the bales of this load-bearing structure and install windows as well.
