Intro to Small Wind Energy Systems (1 day)

In this one-day introductory course taught by Dan Chiras, Ph.D., certified wind site assessor and author of Power from the Wind, Wind Energy Basics, and The Homeowner’s Guide to Renewable Energy, you will explore small wind electric systems suitable for homes, farms, and businesses. Students taking the class in Missouri will view wind turbines and towers installed at this facility. This course is a prerequisite for Intermediate Wind Energy and Wind Site Assessment.

This course qualifies for (a) USGBC Continuing Education credits for LEED-APs, (b) MREA's Continuing Education Credits and (c) MREA's Wind Site Assessment Certificate.
