Intro to Solar Hot Water or similar course

Home Energy Efficiency is highly recommended and required for those completing a Residential Renewable Energy Certificate through TEI.

In this class, students will explore in depth solar hot water systems for domestic hot water and space heating. Students will explore the types of solar panels, the pros and cons of each, and will study in greater detail the types of systems and learn about their components, including storage tanks, heat exchangers, pumps, pipe, insulation, and heat transfer fluids. We’ll spend time studying system sizing and proper installation.
